Great Sky 

Great Sky is nestled in Cherokee County close to shopping, restaurants, historic Canton and 575.  It is close to everything but feels like a world far away! 

Recreation and open space are an important part of Fairgreen Developments master plan for this community.  Over 300 of Great Skys 900 acres have been set aside for this purpose.  There are miles of woodland trails, paths and sidewalks, a state-of-the-art mountain lodge clubhouse. The three pools include a jr olympic-size with zero-beach entry and water slide from lookout station. There is also a tennis center, basketball court, and a one-of-a-kind children's adventure park.   

Homes are divided equally among seven developments with prices ranging from $210,000 to $490,000.  Rolling hills and mountain views are abundant in each section.  

Coming attractions include Hickory Log Creek Reservoir, a 370-acre lake that will have 15 miles of shoreline with about half of that hugging Great Sky green belts.  Only canoes and non-motorized boats will have access.  The target opening is October 2007. 

An 18 hole, 200 acre public golf course is being planned right across the street.  Canton officials say Canton residents will get free membership for the first 10 years.
